Where to Start When Planning a Trip to Singapore
Transportation:
Subway
When visiting Singapore using the subway (MRT) is going to be the best way of getting around. It’s very convenient and easy to use. You can buy single fare tickets if you will be in Singapore for a short trip or there is an option to purchase a rechargeable care for about $9, if you are going to be visiting Singapore for an extended period of time.
Walking
Once you get to the downtown portion of Singapore it is very walkable to most of the touristy destinations. With clean, spacious sidewalks, would highly recommend walking as much as you can.
Taxi
Of coarse there are multiple taxis you can flag down and get a ride. If you are needing an option that is quick and efficient, but more expensive.

What We Wish We Knew:
- Singapore is one of the cleanest countries we visited. With that being said, they take littering very seriously. There is an absolutely no littering policy throughout the whole country. In fact, chewing gum is illegal to bring to Singapore.
- You can not swim in the infamous infinity pool on top of Marina Bay Sands, unless you are a guess at the hotel. Which one night can cost over $600. But you can go to the top of the building and walk around on the deck.
