Things to Consider:
Currency: Thai Baht (BHT)
Best Time to Visit: November – April
Language: Thai
Drinkable Tap Water: No
Haggling: Yes

Flush Toilet Paper: No

Cultural Tips:
When greeting in Thailand they do not shake hands, instead, they press their hands together and slightly bow their head. Usually saying “sawasdee,” which is “hello” in Thai. This greeting is known as Wai.
Monks are highly respected in the Thai culture. Meaning while visiting never touch them (especially if you are a woman), give up your seat for them on transportation, give them a proper Thai greeting but do not expect them to give the same greeting back, and never point the bottom of your feet in their direction, as this is considered extremely rude.
What We Wish We Knew:
- Bangkok is a massive city and has a lot to do other than go see the temples and the lying Buddha. Make sure to give Bangkok several days to explore their massive malls, night markets, strange museums, and unique towns near by.
- 7/11’s are the backbone of Thailand. They are almost on every corner and they are amazing! They have everything from unique chip flavors to face wash. If you need something, more than likely they will have it and for a decent price. They also have the cheapest brand of water.
